Alayhan is one of the early Seljuk caravanserais on the Aksaray-Nevşehir route; with its two-part scheme of courtyard and covered hall, it is generally evaluated among Anatolian trade monuments dating to the reign of Kilij Arslan II or the first quarter of the thirteenth century.

Restoration of Alayhan, a two-part caravanserai with open and covered sections, probably built in the 13th century during the Seljuk period.
